Food List for a Run Around Day Meal #1 - 7 layer burrito (fresco style) at Taco Bell Meal #2 - Tuna Salad Sandwich, assorted small fruit dish, and 2 banana's, all from the 7-11 store. Not a perfect nutritional day, but not bad. I know from experience that the calorie's are in my OK range. I'm not a big fan of tuna for taste, but tuna SALA... 17 Oct 2007 02:04
How Many Meals Each Day? It varies. :) How active are you? What kind of food did you eat, last time? etc. If you made the mistake of eating foods high in sugars or simple carbs, you'll be hungry sooner, and feeling the effects of that hunger, much stronger as well. That is THE reason I recommend cutting those foods out of your low ... 15 Oct 2007 21:52
Vitamin/Mineral Supplements and Dieting Vitamin & Mineral supplements are an interesting subject. For Calcium, you can take it, and it may not do you any good, at all. Our metabolism is WAY complicated, and there are about 20 steps that may be needed to make the calcium you're ingesting, into calcium that your body can use. How many steps are needed... 13 Oct 2007 22:04
Fall is a Great Time of the Year to Start a Diet Starting a diet is a very individual thing, but I like the Fall Season, because: 1) Spring is too late to look good by late Spring, or Summer of that same year. 2) Summer is WAY too late to look good for Summer of that year. Like Spring, Summer is a great time to start a diet, as long as you know it will be F... 13 Oct 2007 13:59
Fess Up! What was Your "Had Enough" Moment ? Like all bad habits, overeating eventually catches up with you. Everyone finally reaches that moment when you just KNOW, you've had ENOUGH of this damn being fat. Mine was a one-two punch. The first "punch" started oddly, with a repeating dream: I'm swimming underwater, and need to come up for air. As I rise t... 11 Oct 2007 22:42
The "Skinny" on Skin You've noticed my advice to lose weight SLOWLY, because it's an adjustment for your body to make. One of those adjustments, is going to be very visible, and that's your skin. Skin is attached to your fat, which is directly below it. If that fat becomes "dimpled", the skin will reflect that dimpling with a "cottag... 11 Oct 2007 11:39
How Fast Should I Lose Weight on a Diet? Dieting is never ever a short term project. You didn't gain all that weight in a week or two, and you won't lose all that weight in a week or two, either. We have to think LONG TERM, and nothing less. Anything else is fantasy land stuff, unless you want to pay a surgeon to cut you open and cut/ suck, excess fat ... 9 Oct 2007 19:24
Food & Feelings How much you eat, and what kind of food will, in the long run, be determined by your habits, and your feelings/attitudes, about eating. It's quite possible to lose some pounds through a carefully crafted program, but what about afterward? Are you going to follow this carefully crafted program for the rest of your... 8 Oct 2007 03:13
My Dieting Logic Sometimes, the simplest concepts just zing right past our ears. We know them from common sense, but don't use the strength of those ideas, in our quest to lose some fat. Here's one of mine, and it's addressed to idea's expressed here recently: "Sometimes it's just tempting to give up on weight control and go for... 8 Oct 2007 02:04
What are your favorite & fun low-calorie foods? My choices would be: Melons (any kind, love 'em all), apples (just slice 'em, great for snacking), sliced tomatoes, pineapples, bananas. Can't recommend these as a nutritional food, but once in a while, I really like a few Rye Crisp crackers (not saltines, the brown one's), dipped in applesauce. Those crackers... 7 Oct 2007 22:04 |
