So although triglyceride is a fat, it's made from carbs. That's what makes triglycerides a very good indicator on whether or not you are eating too many carbs. If triglycerides are high your carb intake is too high--overall or at any one time. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be knowledge that doctor's share with patients. (4 carbs) 2 T. hot picante sauce (2 carbs) And a fresh peach (10 carbs) 1 hour pp = 99 2 hour pp = 91 Yesterday I had basically the same breakfast except that I ate one piece of Toast (net carbs 7) instead of the tortilla. My bg was just as good. I've been writing everything down again. One of the things I have let slide. What would you recommend? I'm open to any good experience here. Thanks, Barbara H T2, dx 7/06, Metformin 1500, Byetta 5x2 Current A1c 6.4

This is not about any one specific lab result change, but is the Byetta the only change in meds? You were already taking Metformin 1500, in other words?
