Lupus is alive and well in Arizona.

Temps are climbing and so is the sun. It's fun digging out the sun
season clothes and shopping for a few more! Isn't it great we have more
sources and more competitive prices than before? Most of the sporting
goods stores here sell sun protective gear. Good deals as long as one
makes sure it's from a reputable mfg.

My sun sensitivity seems to cycle like the flares. Sometimes the sun
coming in through a car window on my hand feels like jillions of little
needles and other times it isn't such a big deal!

Sunday we had lots of family in for a grandson (Brandon) 9th birthday.
Slip & slide, sprinklers and pool plus boys make for a much damaged
lawn. Isn't that what it is for!

Monday home-made enchiladas (made by my bride Rainy with the left over
20# chicken from Sunday), refrieds, mexican rice and my fantastic cook &
daughter Pamela prepared us an enormous bowl of pico de gallo, large
pieces too, not that whirled in a blender stuff. My favorite son in law
Ryan promoted a little beer tasting session. That is fun! I didn't find
one I didn't like!

Lupus! I feel ya', but if life stays this great it makes the pain lots
easier!

Good summer to you all-----

George

Well there you go ! LOL,
misery loves company and so it seems you have some, as do I...
summer?
what is that?.... when the sun shines bright and long and hot all day &
every day?
We don't see that in our neck of the 'woods';
however
we do enjoy the bits and pieces that we do see of it now and again and when
the water gets calm we are out on it setting prawn traps and hauling more in
..... and waiting for the ever elusive tug on the line of cod or
snapper........ maybe even Coho or a spring !!
anyway,
We all still have 3 months left before September and labor day weekend for
the kids to go back to their schools.....
so maybe, just maybe
we will all experience what George is having...
'sun coming through his car windows' although
I'll take mine without the needle like pains thank you!!
Still, it was
good to hear from you both George and Andy... hope you both keep on
enjoying your families and your summer time activities!

We plan to see family throughout the next few months, all going well;
<always have to add that little disclosure .... it's become habit
<g>>....... and
to top off everything ?!
We have a 2nd grandchild coming next January..... <again, all going well!!>
Happy Summertime Holidays to you all through the heat and or 'not hot'
days ....... Enjoy, be happy, be healthy and be safe!
hugs,
Shelagh

I've been on the Norfolk coast (Eastern seaboard of England, not the USA
version) for the last few days, making sandcastles for the grandchildren
with a builder's shovel. A diesel bucket excavator would have been even
more fun, but I had the biggest sandcastle on the beach!

LOL ....
Good Times!!
Good to hear!!
.....I don't know what the prize for 'biggest' sandcastles is over your
way...<g>
but there are values put on them every year here as the viewers vote on the
best ones 'in their opinion'..... and there are some hugely detailed and
fantastic castles built ... from nudes to dinosaurs to 'the actual castles'
.... lots of fun to walk the beach after the 2 or 3 weeks of building
time.... and a great place to take grandkids too!
