I was told told today that there are several prosecutions of hackers
pending. Is this true?.

I read in the newspaper that they did bust a major ring that was
operating out of Eastern Europe and that the FBI and Homeland Security
had been following the case for a long time, but it was hard to pin it
down since some of it was being done out of the USA. It said they made
several arrests.

Apparently they stole several million credit card #s being transmitted on
un-secure wireless networks by/through/in various (large, well known) retail
stores.

Keep an eye on those accounts!

A lack of a fundamental understanding of today's cyberworld and paranoia. But,
I don't understand why he's paranoid. Although I've only known him since 2006
& he's been this way since then, so I don't have as long a perspective as some
others. I just personally hate to see someone paranoid & defensive for no good
reason.
