From: mac the fork on 21 Jul 2008 09:26 I was wondering if other sufferers of Social Anxiety are looking for people to talk to? (on the net) I really could use some feedback from anyone, about this problem; treatments, courses of action. Its always helpful to talk your problems out (but for those of us without friends; who does one talk to?) its also helpful to know one is not alone. For what its worth, one bit of advice i can give people is about medication. If you are on any form of medication that seems to work, do NOT stop the course. For a year or more I was on a Prozac prescription and it worked wonderfully. I felt fine, and considered myself 'cured.' However another year passed and again I was sinking into morbid reflections on my own worthlessness, so I asked for some more Prozac. This time it didn't work. I've noticed similar effects with various other drugs I have foolishly been addicted to over the years. Like that old junkie's well known saying 'It's never as good as the first time.' (PS. There are groups on Yahoo, but I despise Yahoo. They are too aggressive and tried to take over my whole computer - all i wanted was an email account. It took me months to finally flush the last trace of them out of my computer system.. whoa, getting off topic now. frank the crank
