Next: I need some idea's/ advice please; long :-(
From: Rod on 15 Jul 2008 06:54 Necessarily UK-oriented as that is my experience. Yesterday I looked at a pack of stock cubes - and saw that they were made with iodised sea salt. I can't remember ever seeing this *as an ingredient* before. (Probably me forgetting. :-) ) Then I looked at all the other stock cubes - not one is made with iodised salt. In fact, I know I have recently read in more than one place that lack of iodisation of salt in processed food is undermining all the good that iodised salt has done over the years. So, probably, well done J Sainsbury (for it was their own brand cubes) - but I wish it was more obvious to the purchaser. Not so well done Knorr, Kallo, etc. Has anyone heard of any campaign (government or customer led) to change over to iodised salt in general? -- Rod Hypothyroidism is a seriously debilitating condition with an insidious onset.
