Has anyone here read "Invisible Heroes" by Belleruth Naparstek? I am
tremendously impressed with this book. I have a very dear friend who
suffers with PTSD and this book has done more to help me understand
what he is going through than anything else I've ever read.

No, I have not read the book, but I have met Belleruth Naparstek. She
is well-known within the VA system for her work with PTSD in male combat
vets. She was not very well-received by women vets with PTSD, but, as
we are all learning, women and men have different reactions with PTSD.
For example: women tend to depression and inward self-loathing, while
men are more apt to use physical reactions, like guns.

This is a broad generality, so don't hold me to it for specific cases of
PTSD.

Anyway, Belleruth has developed a lot of material for male vets with
PTSD.

Smile and there will be something to smile about!
