When I was living in an apartment in the late 70's and refugees from
Vietnam were arriving with their old habits (pounding abalone on the
sidewalk), we had an infestation of roaches. Granulated borax was
suggested to kill them and prevent further invasions.

They track borax into their nest, lick it off their feet, the razor-
sharp granules cut their stomach to pieces, and they bleed to death.

I had to have a shot once, and when the nurse came in with the needle, I
asked the doctor if I should see it, and she said definitely not! LOL
