From: MamaZ on 23 May 2008 00:33 I've noticed that if I irritate an area over and over (like after I ride my bike, so pressure in genital/area or area of buttocks, and even on the palms of BOTH hands from holding the handlebars), or if I use the computer too long in an unusal position so I put pressure on my arm, that I get sensations of OB in those areas. Even if I sit in the car for a long period of time, I'll get the same sensation in my buttocks. Yeah, it's weird. So, basically, although I generally only break out in two areas (palm of hand and genitals), I will get prodromal symptoms ALL OVER MY BODY. I feel the pain, tingling and all sorts of other (very uncomfortable) sensations throughout my body, even in my head !!! and IN my stomach!!! and it's always right before an OB. My doctors refuse to believe that the herpes has gone "systemic", but that's what I believe...that it resides in my spinal column and travels around my body looking for the easiest exit. Just MHO, but I've had it over 30 years, so I'm probably right. Like for instance if the genitals are touched you can feel a related sensation in the feet. I don't get outbreaks on the palm of the hands. Mine seems to be on the inner thighs/groin and once in a while on the area on the upper part of the buttocks. The prodrome seems to be anywhere in the boxer short area from time to time even if the outbreak is in a different spot there. Its just that sometimes the prodrome seems to go outside of the "classic boxer short area" I guess its related. I got this to happen a few days ago and then yesterday morning I woke up with a bunch of sores on the groin. Thirty years is a long time. I've had it about 15 I'm pretty sure. |
