My whole life had virtually come to a halt in the last year. I am
constantly sick. Out of 12 months I had about 3-4 months when I could
actually function. Most of the time I am dizzy, foggy minded, and feel like
I am close to vomiting. I am having serious problems with my business, I
don't know what I am going to do. Every time I feel a little better I catch
a cold and it starts all over again. I used to be healthy and now I am
perpetually sick. I didn't even treat myself that bad, I was a Vegan for 7
years before I got sick from Crohn's. I don't even know if I trust the
doctors, maybe I have another illness. I just can't figure out why I have
so many symptoms when most everyone else with Crohn's get intestinal pains
and diahhrea. Why can't I only have those symptoms? I lost almost all of my
appetite and all my muscle. When I try to eat more I get sick. And for the
last 3 weeks I have had a horrendous chest pain that finally a doctor
decided to check out with XRAYS.

I don't know what I am going to do.

My advice is to learn all you can about hypo thyroid ( and hyperthyroid, just in
case), check out sleep apnea, and eliminate all artificial sweeteners and
preferably any and all artificial items. How much amalgam do you have in your
mouth?? Is your water supply fluoridated?
The vegan years might have been bad for you as it is very possible you have
become deficient in certain proteins. Some people need a lot of meat. Have blood
type B?? then being vegan is certainly a huge problem.
Are you taking anything for your immune system?? There are many products on the
market; you need to find one that works for you.
the above just for starters, and try to figure out any possible allergies also.
Try yourself. I am told 2x I am not allergic to milk products. Ha, cheese is my
favourite food and I have not taken this for almost a year; I get very bad from
it now; also yoghurt I can't take. Keep a log with as much as possible details
of the day; from how you felt waking up, to temp body & outside, clouds/ sun,
to .... everything you can think of. Maybe you can find a pattern.
Hope something in here will turn out to be helpful to you. Good luck

As I said to another poster, I do not like to post on the newsgroup, the
remarks are so vile.
But I feel for anyone that cannot work through the haze and better the
situation along with the doctor. This is a manmade illness and can affect
anyone, particularly the vulnerable. It works for those willing to pursue
it and relate to it. if not altogether, at least an understanding of why
crohns happens.
Someone on a stimulant, i.e. Xanax, buspar, depakote, marijuana, cocaine,
natural herbs with natural stimulants, kava kava, st johns wort, Flexeril,
anti-depressants, etc etc etc) have an uncanny ability to transmit harm
from the person on the stimulant to a friend or member of family via
mind/body connection. the harm continues regardless of whether in the same
room or miles apart. Only the mind connection is necessary. It is
difficult to imagine that what one person ingests can harm another, but all
things are not known to us as to why they can happen. The only option is
to break the mind/body connection entirely if the person remains on the med
or drug. Just knowing this puts everything in a different perspective and
a person need not be totally confused as to why crohns has happened. It
is not an organic illness. The vast use of stimulants creates the
increasing incidence of crohns and UC,
Hope this helps.

Crohn's is not just a matter of stomach pains and diarrhea.Things like
wasting and picking up lots of other diseases are common. I went from a
170lbs to 117.
The course of treatment usually consists of knocking one's immune system
down. The chest pains could be from a stricture. Been there done that too
:)

There is a wealth of info available on improving one's health. You must have
some knowledge having been on a vegan diet.a vegan diet as good as it is is
just not enough
in our world today...We are just exposed to way too many pollutants. Even
the Medical association is in agreement of supplementing .

One of the better books I have found to have been a big help is "What your
Doctor Doesn't Know About Nutritional Medicine May Be Killing You " by Ray
D, Strand M.D.

When was you last scope or gi series? These symptoms could be signs of a
stricture and/or partial blockage. Just a thought. Don't give up, it's
hard a lot of times but sooner or later it does get better. UM MOM Susan
