I feel for you DeeTee, but I am there with you on the thyroid. I have both
Hashimotos and Graves. It is rare but it can happen. But at least if you can
afford the meds, it is treatable with a pill.

Glad to hear hubby is doing better though. At least one of you are getting
there. ;-)

From: Nell on
My pregnant daughter got diagnosed with a low thyroid and is going to have
to go to a high-risk OB specialist. I knew somehow she had that problem and
had nagged her for years to get bloodwork done. When the OB did the
bloodwork my daughter called me and said "Well, Mom, you'll be happy to hear
I got the blood test for my thyroid."

Hypothyroidism runs in our family and she had symptoms like dry skin and dry
hair (even when she was a toddler but the family doc didn't check, just told
me to put olive oil in her hair!) and she got really heavy after she hit
puberty. Before then she was skinny.

She has JA. There were times when she was a kid that she could hardly walk
and she still has episodes like that. She can't straighten her fingers
completely. She thinks it's going into her elbow.

Once they get your levels right you should feel a ton better. Glad they
finally solved a mystery or two for you.

I hope all goes well with your daughter and her pregnancy and the thyroid
and JA and such. She will be in my prayers and thoughts.
