From: Phil Schueller on 28 May 2008 17:20 Hi, I've had my illeostomy for about 4 weeks and am currently using ConvaTec one-piece drainable stomahesive bags. I was wondering if anyone has any experience wearing one of these bags in a hot tub. Do I need to take any special precautions? Does water (hot or cold) cause any degradation of the adhesive seals? Phil
From: Jim Kerr on 28 May 2008 17:32 I have found that as long as you have a fresh appliance on, there is no immediate degradation of the adhesive for a single session in a hot tub. It will however shorten your wear time the more you bathe in one. Thats been my experience. I use a 2 piece Stomahesive with powder and Eakin Seal as extra security. Hope that helps. Enjoy the hot tub BTW...
