I was just about to go for a shower, so I took everything out of my pockets
(gonna wash my trousers too, at some point) and I noticed that my little
wallet, containing 40, was nowhere to be seen. Checked in the livingroom,
the bathroom, and all the other rooms, but no sign of it. The only place I
had been was the shop across the road on my way home. I went and asked the
dude in the shop and there it was, 40 intact. A stroke of luck, it could
easily have been picked up by someone less honest than the shop guy. If he
wasn't a muslim, I'd buy him a pint.

My newsagent is a decent guy too - I recently saw him run out of the
shop to tell someone who had paid too much. So on the couple of
occasions that I've noticed him undercharging me, I've set him right.
He's of Indian extraction, although I don't know his country of birth.
