From: Roguey on 4 Sep 2008 20:00 I have diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome and fibromyalgia. I also have severe depression and anxiety. It takes all my energy just to get up and type a post. Does anyone have any advice on helping with energy levels/depression associated with fibromyalgia? I have tried lyrica and cymbalta and neither one agreed with me. I do see mental health professionals and doctors often. However, like most people, I don't have the money to seek additional help and/or experiment with a lot of drugs. Please give me some advice. Sincerely, Christy
From: Gloria Wolfe on 5 Sep 2008 00:55 Hi Christy. I've had clinical depression and anxiety issues for nearly 30 years. Cymbalta didn't work for me either; never tried Lyrica. Neither did Celexa work for me. Years ago, I was on Prozac, but then I started suffering more anxiety and was having trouble sleeping. So, as a result, my doctor prescribed Doxepin and it's been a good medicine for me. Also, I take Paxil in the morning. Also a good one for me. Sometimes one has to experience several before finding one that helps. Good luck; keep us posted. From: Michael B on 5 Sep 2008 06:07 Is there ANYBODY out there with fibromyalgia only? It gets tiresome discovering people that have been prescribed antidepressants for poorly controlled diabetes, or pain meds because of Vitamin D levels too low. Or thyroid levels that would qualify as low with one doc and "normal" for another. So when I see someone talking about the problems of FMS, it's usually the cause of my wondering what condition they have that is not in good control. But hey, maybe it's because I've been reading a lot lately about cell-wall deficient organisms. They just ease into the body's cells, and then the body goes into attack mode against itself. But, hey, that's just another of thse undiagnosed things that get called "fibromyalgia". From: Rogue on 9 Sep 2008 20:32 Thank you all for your stories and your help. I think I will stick around in here, because knowing that I am not alone helps a lot. - Roguey On Sep 4, 7:00 pm, Roguey <cweveronw...(a)gmail.com> wrote: > I have diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome and fibromyalgia.
