From: Michael B on 5 Sep 2008 18:30 Hey, Karen. A favor? Consider trying wild cherry bark tea, or a variant of it, for the asthma. http://www.zooscape.com/cgi-bin/maitred/GreenCanyon/questp514025 http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_g2603/is_0002/ai_2603000269 http://www.zooscape.com/cgi-bin/maitred/GreenCanyon/questc100473 On Sep 5, 4:13 pm, kpeterha <kpete...(a)pacbell.net> wrote: > Roguey wrote: > > I have diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome and fibromyalgia. I have tried several Michael, I could look for the wild cherry bark tea at my local health food store and try it. I was just there today buying horse chestnut for my brother who has poor circulation due to diabetes. My asthma was doing in remission for about three years. No inhaler and no maintenance medications. But, we have a tendency to have wild fires here in San Diego County and I ended up back on Singulair daily and an inhaler every once in a while. Question: I know that Singulair works on leukotrienes and not just histamine response in the body. Do you know if the cherry bark has similar properties? Maybe marshmallow root tea? I have an interest in Chinese Medicine and herbal remedies. I guess it's time to get the book out and see if herbals can enhance or replace some of my prescription medications. I know I can't stop the meds cold and not without a doctors permission, but all my prescription copays just doubled and some of the meds require prior authorizations, which seem to take forever. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Karen in San Diego
