From: Peter on 24 Jul 2008 07:55 Hi, Twelve months ago last August I was taken in to hospital suffering awful back pain which was so unbearable I passed out and was given morphine injections and a painkilling suppository, after spending two weeks in hospital I was told I had five kidney stones. Since then I have had ultra sound treatment and passed three stones but I still have at least the two remaining, I say at least two as I was told that it was only my right kidney that I had the stones in, however over the past few weeks |I have been feeling quite ill with a painful stomach and pain in my left groin area which makes me feel it must now be my left kidney as well and the hospital has stopped my ultra sound treatment. My own doctor, doesn't actually ever answer any of my questions and I have to wait until late August before I see the hospital doctor. Maybe there is someone out there with the same conditions as I have who could give me more information as to: what's going on in my body, why am I making these stones? What is the long term affect? How can I avoid making them? Thanks, Peter.
