From: Karen on 14 Aug 2005 12:57 Are Hellmann's/Best Foods mayonnaise products gluten free? At this time, All Hellmann's/Best Foods mayonnaise products are gluten-free (Real, Canola, Light and Reduced Fat). Since product formulations change from time to time, the best advice we can give you is to check the ingredient list on the label. Ingredients that may contain any of the top eight allergens as defined by the FDA, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, fish, seafood, wheat, eggs, and milk or dairy, as well as any ingredient that may contain gluten, are always listed on the label. http://www.unilever800.com/hellmanns_faq/answer.asp?host=www.hellmanns.com&ID=11&Counter=1&When=8/14/2005 Many of the considerate manufacturers put the info out on their website. Hormel is one of the best, IMO. Karen > "Frankie T." <frankiet(a)aol.com> wrote in message > news:Y1JLe.11463$9v3.6785(a)fe09.lga... > > GF or not. > > > > > >

For those who are lucky to get Old Wisconsin meat products, they too are good with listing ingredients and many of the meats are GF. Victor
From: Karen on 14 Aug 2005 21:08 Just in the last year, I've seen a dramatic increase in awareness of gluten issues among the manufacturers. It's encouraging to see.
