Nausea I'm wondering what causes the nausea associated with GERD, especially on an empty stomach. I can understand a full stomach causing it but what is the mechanism that causes it on an empty stomach and what would help get rid of it? I can handle pain waaaaay better than nausea. LPR and GERD differences. I think I learned something new about my condition. I keep reading about GERD and wonder why that doesn't match what I'm feeling.
