Gerd and headaches Hi Amy, Sounds to me like it is probably side effects as you describe. I'm not sure how acid could give rise to headaches. Unless it is due to the composition of exhaled gas but I'm sure we would have heard more about these cases, were this to be true. Take Prevacid in AM or before bed? When is the "optimal" time to take Prevacid daily? I would "think" right before bed.... or in the evening.... since you will be laying down and erosions more likely to occur then. But I can't dins any definitive answer. Impedence Results Hey Howard. Just got back my impedence results and met with the doctor. I did the test off of any PPI and it showed results indicitive of GERD. Acid exposure time in the distal esophagus was 6.6%. There was also some non-reflux events (16 weekly acid, 2 alkaline) but most were acidic. Symptom index was 50% and... 7 May 2007 16:26 |
