From: Kathy on 6 Apr 2008 12:14 I ordered on on my own... I have no idea what is wrong. It is a small and fits my gface, but it feels so different from the nasal mask. Not just the covering my mouth, but the force of the air. And it leaks out the sides... So much for doing it on my own. I'm going to get my apppointment for my "check-up" at the sleep center and take all my masks with me. Maybe the sleep tech there can help me out. I'm still fatigued in the mornings. Lots of "shoulds" that are involved, too. I guess I will try to do at least some of them... :-) Kathy
From: Sue Morton on 6 Apr 2008 13:18 I'm sure the sleep tech will be able to help you fit it properly. Shifting the headgear to different positions -- often lower down on the back of the head then what appears to be correct -- is a big help. What is the make/model of the FFM you ordered? -- Sue Morton Kathy wrote: > I ordered on on my own... I have no idea what is wrong. Then it doesn't fit your face. I have one and the default insert it came with felt like it fit... but then leaked and I scrutinized the fitting guide that came with it a bit more to realize there were 2 other sized inserts that came with the mask. I tried the next larger on, and voila, leaking gone! > So much for doing it on my own. I'm going to get my apppointment for > my "check-up" at the sleep center and take all my masks with > me. The sleep tech may be of some help, but a durable medical equipment provider versed in cpap masks would be the better fit (pardon the pun). Good luck and keep at it!

I hate to say it, but I think I'm too used to the one just one my nose to adjust the full one. I'm still not feeling a whole lot more rested because of the one I do wear - I have trouble gettig to sleep and then get up late in the morning. I'm also up in the potty room a couple of times each night... Thanks for the encouragement... Kathy |
