Food allergies is a major concern today, and those allergic to foods,
mostly children need special and constant attention from parents and
elders. According to allergy specialists there are many clues
indicating that food allergies in children are on the rise, and there
are many studies trying to sort through all the clues.

For parents it is better to know more about the various types of food
allergies, and their preventive measures. If a parent is suspicious of
a food allergy, the child should be taken to a board-certified
allergist to find out for certain. Parents should not try to make that
determination on their own, especially if the suspected culprit is
peanuts or shellfish.
