Polymyalgia Is there a difference between fibromyalgia and polymyalgia.? Update...BB I finally had my MRI and visit to my neuro yesterday and am even more confused than I was before I went. The MRI was of my head and the neuro showed me my old stroke sites on it, one new stroke and numerous tiny stroke sites. Does this sound like fibromyalgia? I have two autoimmune diseases: Hashimoto's thyroiditis and IBS. I'm told that fibromyalgia is common to go along with those. When I get up in the morning, my body is stiff and sore. But more troubling is that I get small red / inflamed areas in my muscles and tendons hurt.
