Ever notice when you have TS, other ailments seem to make the TS to be
much more magnified? I know when I had respiratory problems in the
80's, it really caused my anxiety and TS to kick up. Symptoms like
OCD and ruminations and even tics. I have had several other health
problems since then and when some health chrisis occurs, the TS and
anxeity seem to get worse.

The things which aggravate my tic is:

Being tired or overextending myself work wise
Being in a stressfull situation (makes it happen involuntarily,
usually I do it consciously but can't help it)
In the mornings it's worse than in the evening
If I try supress or control it, it comes back with a vengeance (and is
louder, it's a vocal tic)

The things that makes my tic go away are:

Being totally absorbed in something (drawing & painting, writing,
reading etc)
Being on my own so that I'm not paranoid about people hearing me
Being temporarily overcome by something, when I was ill it somehow
took my mind clean off it.

The things which affect me most about the tic are:

It makes you want to be left alone but at the same time-you don't want
to be alone
It makes people scared of you and avoid you (I have seen EVERY
possible human reaction to my tic from laughter to literally running
away)
It has a knock-on effect eg: You go to interview but don't get called
back, you go to appointments but they 'forget' to issue you a card for
2 years because they were 'updating all the files'. People
mysteriously leave the job your in and move to another department.
