Post on Keppra and Ativan
I can't get 'to' reply to the post, but haven't used Keppra. Is the Ativan supposed to be taken below the tongue (sublingually) ? If it is, it's not supposed to be *swallowed, but put under the tongue and it dissolves *there without liquids etc. until it's all absorbed into the bloodstream from *there. ... 10 Aug 2010 00:30
Keppra causing itchiness in lips/palate?
I was Rx'd 500mg of Keppra (250mg 2x day) along with 2mg Ativan (PRN). Since I've been taking the Keppra, I've noticed an increased sensation of itchiness in my palate and lips which sometimes makes it's way down my neck. Scratching does little to relive it. I've also tried orajel to no avail. It's very disruptive ... 10 Aug 2010 08:02
Advice appreciated. Rx'd Ativan for seizure mgmnt
I had my first appointment with my neurologist on Wed. He did not start me on any medication at the time of the visit. ... 2 Aug 2010 11:28

I take it for complex-partial seizures. I learned just the other day that it has been linked to increased irritability or "grouchiness", as the doctor that I saw called it. Does anyone here have any experience with either the regular Keppra or Keppra -XR (extended relief?) I also take Lamictal for the seizure... 18 Mar 2010 04:51
