My prescriptions are a source of annoyance because they do not all run out
at the same time and it seems every time I turn around, I am refilling
something. And I've made repeated trips to the pharmacy either because they
haven't filled my prescription yet (Dr. didn't call right away) or they are
out of something.

Today I went to pick up both kinds of insulin, needles and some pills. And
guess what they were out of? The needles! I am down to my last few too.
Now I have to go back again tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a busy day and I
really haven't got time to go back there, but... If I don't I will totally
be out of needles. Guess I should have called that one in sooner.

You can reuse the needles. I do in a pinch. "Carefully" put only the large
plastic cover on the needle and screw it off. Set it in a safe place and
use it for your next shot. If you use two different insulin's, save
separate needles and make sure to use the right one. I have used a pen
needle 8-10 times when I ran out.

Nope. I won't do that. I reused them a couple of times and it was very
painful. Plus I got huge bruises.

Your pharmacy has no kind of 'auto-refill' status? It still drives me crazy
that they all become available at different times although I have worked a
bunch of them into major hunks. And, it still drives me crazy with Rx that
aren't refilled for long enough to make auto-refill truly effective, ... but
that's not usually the case.

I make it a rule never to use the same needle more than three dozen
times..............
