From: jseifried@gmail.com on 10 Oct 2005 21:14 I am sorry your hands hurt :( :( :( I am lucky in that typing actually works like PT for me. I can't always type fast or well but as long as the rest of me is in a comfortable (ha!) position I'm good to go.

My pinky finger's been killing me for weeks, right at the joint where it joins the hand. I might have bumped it or something, or it might 'just' be fibromyalgia. My big toe was doing the same thing the other day, but it stopped, thankfully. Warm water is my best suggestion, or warm wax if you can get it somewhere. Ever heard of that? In days of olde, they used to dip sore hands in warm wax and leave it on til it cooled, then peel it off. Somehow, that helped. Now, if I only had a servant girl (or boy) to DO everything for me while I sat with my wax all over my hands. ;o) Another thought - do they feel cold a lot, especially at the tips of your fingers? You may want to look into Raynaud's Syndrome - it's very common among PWFMS. It causes poor circulation in your hands and feet and makes them cold and sore all the time. Don't have time to Google it for you right now, but maybe someone else already has a good website about it? Take GOOD Care and I'd LOVE to see a post you wrote with your nose. ROFL!!!
