Is it illegal to change ownership of assets right before or during a divorce?
Does this vary by state? Would it be legal, for example, for a husband who is divorcing his wife, to change ownership of a car into someone else's name or to liquidate and hide assets of any kind? If it can be proven he did this, what would happen at the divorce settlement? ... 16 Mar 2006 17:27
