Hi, I've got perscription from the doctor for Ambien CR. I went to the
pharmacy today and they told me that it was $142/month, which I thought was
way too much. The doctor has given me samples of Ambien CR before and they
seem to help me quite a bit. I also have perscription of Ambien, but it
doesn't help me that much. My big problem is that I wake up after 2/3 of my
sleep and have difficulty staying asleep. I was told that the Ambien itself
would be much less expensive. I was wondering what if I take the Ambien
after the 2/3rds of sleep and then I can wake up a few hours later, better
rested. Is that correct? Or would I need to stay in bed with the regular
Ambien for eight hours, before I can be funtional again. My main goal is to
stay asleep. I would love to be able to sleep for 8 hours in a row and wake
up rested. Sleeping without the CPAP machine gives me better rest than with
it.

Does it keep you asleep or does it make it you fall asleep? And also do you
feel groggy the next day?

i take the seroquel about 90 min to 2 hours before i want to go to sleep

some nights, i have to take 75mg instead of 50mg because i can't get to
sleep (this is oh, 3 or 4 times a year) and on those times, i am groggy
the next morning

with 50mg i'm fine the next morning (well, as much as a night owl can be) :)

it's a very low dose that i take

missed part of the question

before seroquel, i would lay in bed wide awake all night long OR i would
sleep for 2 hours then lay awake for the rest of the night

now, i'm typically asleep within 15 to 20 min of going to bed

i know someone else who was given this solution, and they have no end of
trouble with it because 'they can't take the pills before 10pm' and
'they can't get to sleep until 11:30'
well........... geeeeee.............. i wonder why?
sigh
