Preventing stomach damage
Hello, My problem is as follows: I cannot resist following any kind of diet... The only way I can loose weight is by eating _very_ little. Yet still, by eating very little (only a few bites of food per day) I heard that I can easily damage my stomach. So, what should I do in order to cause minimal damage... 27 Feb 2007 23:20

Hi Beverly, I eat a bowl of oatmeal (made from a half cup of thick-cut oatmeal) with a tablespoon each of ground flax seed and wheat germ every morning. I love that breakfast, but I often seem to get hung... 10 Jan 2007 22:20
Eating at night
I have struggled with the problem of midnight eating for many years. I have tried apples and bread and butter in the past, but I had trouble with maintaining my weight. Now, when I awake craving food, I eat a small, just ripe, anjou pear. I do this three or four times during the night and can still have toast or... 9 Jan 2007 22:32
I want to be a runner too!
My gym is hosting a 5k run in February. I can't even run 1 mile! But it's something I'd love to be able to do. In fact, in August we have a relay run called Hood to Coast, which is a run from Mt Hood to the Oregon coast. Each member of a team of 12 must run three 6 mile legs. I don't know if I could be rea... 6 Jan 2007 22:13
diet MUST be the key
I've had people tell me that the key to getting slim is maintaining a clean diet. "Exercise is important, but diet is key...." I guess I believe it. I have several instructors at my gym who teach at least 3 classes a day. Not one of them is really lean. A couple of them are downright pudgy. Now, I can't com... 15 Jan 2007 08:31
Food & Exercise -- 12/31/2006
Last night we went to a lovely New Year's Eve dinner dance at a country restaurant that we love. Because it's about 40 miles away and we didn't want to drive home that late -- especially with people on the road who'd been drinking a lot -- we got a motel room in that town and stayed overnight. The dinner was grea... 3 Jan 2007 15:42
can anyone help me replicate this TJ product?
I just tried Trader Joe's Apple Cranberry Fiber cake. It comes in a 6 pack of these not too tasty looking muffin cups, but each one packs 13g of fiber and only 80 calories, and I actually like them much more than the Fiber One I've been struggling to eat. They are vegan, and only contain bran, water whole whe... 1 Jan 2007 17:05
