I thought that loss of affection, as distinct from loss of interest in sexual activity, was a distinct issue. Explain to your partner that your loss of interest and affection is a symptom of your depression, not a rejection of him or her, and that these symptoms will be temporary." Temporary? At least they say that depression is treatable, not always curable. My wife, being a pharmacist, knows about the side-effects of antidepressants. The link is a very good summary. I was going to do a page on depression for men, but the linked page says it all. Doug L.
