Next: Depression, what it's all about
From: GraceC27 on 10 Aug 2008 22:43 I saw a documentary recently called the Healing Power of Flowers. I think it's still being shown on the Documentary channel in the U.S. if anyone gets that. One of the people on the show was a Dr Judith Griffin, who allegedly cured herself of Chrohns Disease with the essences of some flowers. I'm a skeptic. I had a hard time believing the flowers "talked" to her or guided her in some way. But there is apparently a whole movement on the healing power of flowers and it's not really new at all but very ancient Shammans across the world use flowers to help cure people. It's used as alternative medicine and there are essences and also oils. Essences tune your brain into more positive thoughts, oils help with the more physical ailments. Besides Crohns disease flowers also help with anxiety, depression, aches and pains, etc. etc. etc. Still it's hard to believe in something when people talk about flowers having a conscienceness? Although, we do all know that lavender is suppose to calm you and citrus gives you a lift. It's aromotherapy taken to the next level, I guess. There is also a person called Bach and the Bach center that uses some of this stuff. Makes me wish I had a boyfriend so he could send me flowers.
