Went to an all men's breakfast group yesterday. It meets once a month
for about an hour in one of the local cafs with a member of staff from
the local mh charity that runs it present.
It was my first time there. There were not many people there ie for most
of the time just myself and this other man plus staff member. Another
man joined us 2/3 of the way through.
It was enjoyable enough.
They also hold an all women's group that takes place every week . I
guess that's based on the belief that women are more likely to talk in
such group situations and therefore that warrants more frequent get
togethers.

I can understand the need for all women's groups as it allows for women
to talk about things that they might be embarrassed and uneasy talking
about in front of men but i would rather go to a mixed group than a
men's group.
