Grrrr - may they get subclinical hypothyroidism and be stuck with a doc who won't medicate. I watched my Mum die of thyroid-related heart issues, then my own TSH climb for 8 years, plus a heart attack of my own, before I changed GPs and stumbled across one who prescribed thyroxine with a TSH of 8. The endo also thought it had directly contributed to the diabetes dx. The increase in quality of life was astounding. These days, I know I function best with a TSH under 2. Nicky.
