From: Alma Brekke on 20 Jul 2007 10:08 I just discovered your group. I have been treating for kidney stones for one year. I have had three episodes of profuse bleeding (from the kidneys???) - this last one is still ongoing and has lasted 3-1/2 days. Feeling quite weak right about now. Had a CT scan Wed. and shows no movement of the latest stones - however still profuse bleeding. Was told this a.m. to start taking Cipro in case of infection and to see dr. NEXT Thurs. I have been trying to find out cause of kidney bleeding and haven't been able to locate answers - which dr. SHOULD be providing but is not. I know I need a new dr. but in meantime do you have any experience in this problem????? Or know of a site I can tap into? Thanks. http://community.webtv.net/almabrekke/Almasfamilyboth2

Gross hematuria can be caused by a number of different things and should be evaluated by a physician. As a kidney stone passes, it can cause tears in the kidney itself, ureter, bladder and/or urethra. Gross hematuria is common with the passage of kidney stones. -- "Did Father shoot him? The thing is, it doesn't take very much blood in the urine to give one the impression (during urination) that the stone has opened up a direct link to the aorta. ...Perhaps your weak feeling is psychologically based. ...Jon
