Hi Everyone,

I have been diagnosed with Bipolar for over 5 years now. I just
wanted to let everyone out there know that I have created a blog site
that is sharing my personal experience on the disease, including
different medications that I have been prescribed, some worked, some
didn't, information for caregivers, and just to let everyone out there
with this disease know that you really are not alone! I will be
posting on it just about everyday. The posts start with when I was
first diagnosed and will go up until present and continue on. So feel
free to come visit and hopefully you will get some good information
from there, and feel free to post on any of the discussions as well.
Again, caregivers are VERY welcome as well!

sounds fab, Cricketbug. Is bipolar a disease? I thought it was a
disorder. Maybe it's changed. Maybe I've changed. shawn

I agree. I prefer disorder. It doesn't sound like something you
might catch on public toilet. Yes, and "affective disorder" sounds
more like everything is quite in order. A little less insane.

I believe the term chemical imbalance has saturated the media and is
no longer a safe way of saying -- *wink-wink* -- I'm down, I'm up, I'm
both. EVERYBODY KNOWS I'M NUTS if they say i have a chemical
imbalance. I don't care about the Jerry Springer fans, they wouldn't
understand anyway. But it's the cops, clients, medical people,
blahblahblah. They all use the buzz words. I'm highly aware that I
have just a gauzy thingy floating between me and them. Ah, this is
probably because i'm on disability for BP, and my privates have become
public. That was a lot for me to say.
