From: Loz on 18 Feb 2007 18:16 Ive been signed off for 3 years and been through 2 of the IB medicals but still worry about how ill I actually am. I know I'm not ready for work atm but worry if I'll ever realise when I am ready. Being on benefits isnt fun but at the same time it feels alot safer than the real world if that makes sense? Loz

I know I'm too ill to work and I need, deserve and am entitled to the benefits, but I still get paranoid that I'll get done for benefit fraud. I mean, the benefit agency hardly have a good track record of looking at evidence and coming to the right decision; look at all the overturned judgments when people go to appeal - I'm not going to trust a system like that not to suddenly decide I'm a cheat. Sometimes the nature of my depression is that I think that I could do something if I really tried, but I don't seem to be able or want to try. When I'm more sane, I know I'd be absolutely useless at every job in the world. Rosemary
