Ive been signed off for 3 years and been through 2 of the IB medicals
but still worry about how ill I actually am. I know I'm not ready for
work atm but worry if I'll ever realise when I am ready. Being on
benefits isnt fun but at the same time it feels alot safer than the real
world if that makes sense?

The "we're onto you" style of anti benefit fraud adverts don't help either.
I know I'm too ill to work and I need, deserve and am entitled to the
benefits, but I still get paranoid that I'll get done for benefit fraud. I
mean, the benefit agency hardly have a good track record of looking at
evidence and coming to the right decision; look at all the overturned
judgments when people go to appeal - I'm not going to trust a system like
that not to suddenly decide I'm a cheat. Sometimes the nature of my
depression is that I think that I could do something if I really tried, but
I don't seem to be able or want to try. When I'm more sane, I know I'd be
absolutely useless at every job in the world.
