Hi.

When i was newly diagnosed I had problems digesting chicken,
unprocessed beef (eg: steak). It wasn't a celiac reaction, just mild
pain and discomfort. Sometimes I would have problems with ground meat,
such as in a spaghetti sauce. I am finding that the issue was the
Nexium that my GI doc had me on. He thought I had acid reflux, but i
didnt it was just my esophagus getting damaged from all the vomiting
that was going on, not reflux. I've stopped the Nexium and havent had a
problem since. Admitedly I've not tried steak or chicken yet, but
hamburgers and other processed beef doesnt give me problems any
longer...

are you on any antacids, or proton pump inhibitors? Might be worth
stopping them (After talking with your doc).

I will try steak and chicken again soon. I'm still going to stay away
from milk based products for a few more months.....

Regards

I take proton pump inhibitors when I have consumed
something bad. I still have some food intolerences I
have to figure out and I am sure one is corn so all
these gluten substitutes with corn give me the same
response as wheat...yuk
