We have decided to take in 4 rescued Battery Hens in June July when
the next Lot of 800 hens go. This is twofold. I will be able to
eventually get them on a diet rich in corn and no soya and I should be
able to eat eggs safely. It'll take some time to settle them but
apparantly they adapt very well and end up enjoying life which is the
other reason for taking them. It'll take me a while to raise enough
money for house and run and I'll be sowing grass sees next weekend.
If they become tame it will be an added bonus.

Anybody taken in battery hens and can gve advice please?
