Admitted to hospital & was found I had Gallstoneswhich were blocking
the bile duct ad some other problems. For surgery 6 weeks time.BUt I
now have to have a low fat diet. Milk and cheese being a huge part of
my diet I guess will make me hungry again. Stupi as specialist wants me
to kose weight if possible and the day before the Dietican told me I
wasn't eating enough! Good job I love lettuce. Can't tolerate soyamilk
either. My GP said try a cuppa with a tiny drop of milk in it for
brakfast and I felt so sick after three mouthfuls I went out to buy
Fruit teas.

I have a milk allergy. There are cheese alternatives. I just ordered some
new stuff. Haven't tried it yet. I eat a vegan rice cheese. It's very
good on pizza or nachos or in casseroles. Even good on a sandwich. Just
have to make sure it is the vegan one because the other kind for some odd
reason contains casein.

I eat Parma! on pasta. It's a nut based parmesan sub. You might not be
able to do that because of the gallbladder. I am not sure. Nutritional
yeast is another option. It lends a cheesy flavor.

My daughter drinks rice milk. She likes it. I never was a milk lover so I
don't miss it. Vance's Dari Free is another option, but it's rather sweet.

Hi --

Try out a few drops of nonfat milk. If that doesn't work, fruit teas
are the way to go.

Veggies are surprisingly filling, so experiment with them. Rice vinegar
makes a good salad dressing all by itself, no oil needed.

Well-trimmed chicken and broiled or baked fish are also filling.

Good luck,

Thanks. I;ll give the rice vinegar a try. I'm drinking or was
semi-skimmed milk. I've bought some Twining fruit teas and some honey
and they are very nice hot and cold.

cheers
