As a amputee, is that good or bad when it comes to auto insurance?

I drive with my left leg and wonder how the insurance companies feel about
that?

I don't believe they have any business knowing about it. As long as you're
operating in compliance with your motor vehicle operator's license, you
should be in good shape.

My insurance companies haven't even asked. Even my motorcycle carrier only
wanted to know if I was trained and licensed.

I am not a lawyer. This is not legal advice.

I also drive w/left foot. Insurance co. never asked, its not on their
questionaire, and I never told them. No need to. I meet all req. of
state for my drivers license. That should be all that's necessary. In
NJ we have state manadated auto inspections every few years and I was
never questioned there either.

Same here. The motor vehicle department doesn't even know or my insurance
company. Its just something that normally doesn't get asked. You should be
fine.

I agree with the other posters. They have no business knowing. I passed
my drivers test. Period-end.

Are we more risky because of our limb loss? Take a look at some of the
drivers on the road, and you'll see that the answer is clearly not.

I've had one accident in 20 years of driving as an amputee..... nothing to
do with my leg.
