Eye Contact
I realize I am new to this group, but... I am the grandparent of a young boy who was just diagnosed a few months ago. We are in a quandry about what to do and how to approach services. Hans Asperger & the Nazi Party
Was Hans Asperger a Nazi Party member? He was a doctor at the University of Vienna during the Third Reich. Is it likely a pediatrician could be able to operate effectively without being an NSDAP member? I believe it was required that doctors be members of the Reich Physicians' Chamber (Reichs?rztekammer), but I'... 13 Jan 2006 09:51

Does the DSM IV already use cluster analysis to do this kind of grouping? If not, w... 24 Oct 2005 18:42

Nutrional Analysis / Ion Profile
Hello friends. We recently took our son to see a nutrionist / DAN! doctor; he recommended we get a Ion Profile done by Metametrix. We have the kit, but haven't taken him to the lab to get any of the samples drawn; the test is expensive, nearly $700. I'm curious is anyone has had any experience getting an ion pr... 17 Oct 2005 20:57
being my autistic self
I think I've been scolded/questioned enough about 'isolating' myself that I don't let myself do it. I'm quite comfortable being alone much of the time but people seem to not like it. earlier this month with the beginning of school I started remembering the earlier years of school. I knew I blocked it out. I'd tried... 29 Oct 2005 14:17
