Dee, that sounds logical. I hope it works. If you do have heart
palpitations, sweating, or the tremor gets worse, you'll know you might be
overmedicated. But I hope it turns out you were the opposite and this does
the trick. It's strange how being hypo and hyper are not that different
sometimes for some people. Good luck, Elizabeth

You're right about me - last time I weighed myself I was 152 and I'm
about 5' 7''. I'm pretty convinced that the conversion of synthroid
to armour isn't straightforward because there is no way I'd be on 200
mcg of Synthroid at my weight. I am pretty sure I've never been
overdosed and I'm certainly not now at 120 mg of Armour.

Elizabeth -

I wish I could send you some Armour to get you on it!! You sound so
much like me a few months ago - I know your pain all too well. I am
definitely doing a lot better on the armour. I can't say that I'm
100% but I am definitely better off than I was on the Synthroid. I
know what you mean about lacking a zest for life. Gosh I hate this
disease and the doctors who refuse to treat us appropriately. Anyway,
as for the dosing of armour - I'm still figuring it out. I've had a
lot of ups and downs as we've increased it. My mood is definitely
better but a few weeks after switching I got a few hypo symptoms that
I'd never had before - my hair become coarse, skin became dry,
constipation. All that has improved as I've upped the dose. And my
mood, although mostly better, has had some yo-yo's.

I guess in the past few months I can say I've changed my mindset to
believing (because doctors made it out to be this way) that this is a
small inconsequential thing that I just take a little pill every day
for (and see the doctors every 3 months) to understanding that it is a
lifelong chronic autoimmune disease and that I have to take care of
myself or no one else will. And by taking care I mean pushing doctors
to find the right meds and right doses as well as maybe looking at my
diet and sleeping habits.

I could go on and on but I have a meeting to attend to.....

I wish you both well.
