Yes, well, the thermometer was sitting in sunlight. It is HOT here!!! I think August is my least favorite month. Hope you're feeling better. Smiles, Gina

Thought of you lately! Happy belated Bday! Life is fine if obligations get demanding at times, and I wish I coudl enjoy the few nice days left. We often had 114 in the recent years with humidex, sometimes without: this country did at times turn into a tropical one. Even today, humidity levels are such that with the temperature which thank goodness is cool, it was sticky and comparable for humidity levels to a tropical forest or jungle. Plants sure are growing! People who grew veggies this year in gardens will have all time records for sizes: watch those pumpkin competitions at halloween time!:) But for farmers, too much water might make it impossible for them tio use tactors and machinery in the fileds. Just SOAKED we are when not flooded: many areas are. We have wind this summer which makes the weather change fast and often: it can rain three tiems in a day and be sunny in between, usually sticky because of that, if we did not have the apst eyars stretch of impossible HOT humid weather, lie threatening levels in past summers for some stretches (like in France, except no one mentions it when it happens here, where we are not used at all to such summers, unless we are under age 10 -that was all we had for the last decade or so...until now. Now is rain, rain, rain ad why not for a change more rain, and record rains too. Bad bad floodings, more and more places flooded....I am surprised that the area where I live is not completely flooded, we are usually among the forst ones, but it seems to be worse a bit more to the North, and to the East (maritimes, namely New Bruunswick if some areas of Qubec seem to be gettign it much worse than the Martimes, judging by image son tv... Makes weather talks last longer, that LL:). The group i pretty quiet, after a while of pammers: a poster (Fly like an Eagle (David) tld me that the server he was using no ;nger carried asl, for instance, due to spam and too many four letter words in those. If many have that problem, would exlain why things are so quiet.... I also thouht of Chief a lot lately and wodnered what became of him. Had any news Know how he is doing? And Candy, his wife? Hope they all are fine...Been ages since I heard of him.... Many looked for you for uite a while before vanishing...Perhaps if you stayed a few weeks, you woudl see them start to wave hi...;-) Hope your weather gets cooler a bit. We don,.t want winter too fast, of course, but....It is nice when it is comfy. It is so odd: today woud have been way way too humid to elave doors and windows opened. But like yesterday, the evening is so wo! VERY sticky humid out there, if I have seen much worse for heat, but with airco on and dehumidifier, leavign a partio door and window opened makes it nice, without making the machines run mad, somehow.... Hope your evening really turns nice, and that your month of August ends up being your favorite weather for a nice change! (On my side I knw these comfy evenings *with dehumidifier and airo, ind you* willl not last, so I just am happy as a bird when I have two in a row!:) Take good care, and do say h for m to all thse you might have kept contact with from way back when.... Chloe
From: Gina on 7 Aug 2008 13:15 Well...it sounds like we both are living in the tropics. I'm afraid the people growing gardens here are out of luck due to our severe drought. So far, I've managed to keep the lawn green, but we have some stiff watering regulations and it hasn't been easy. Okay...yes...enough about weather. :-) I'm hoping to be able to stick around for a while this time. Life can get pretty hectic at times and it seems to take me longer to get things done. Ya think it's because I'm getting older ?! I don't have any contact with any of the old members of asl anymore. I met some wonderful people here (you included, of course)....but they seem to have gone in other directions over the years. I think of them often, too. Okay....I have to get to reading some of the messages. Just don't start telling me about my "walls" and being in that dang "box". LOL I'm working in it !! Smiles, Gina Am I going crazy? Am I insane and dazed? Am I too lost to face it? And what will it cost To escape? LOL > I'm working in it !! :) 'Compartmentalization'" became a regular word that many understand for too fast judging and categorizing people from first impressions, our own like that of third parties. 'Thinking outside the box' is also a common expression. So all in all, we created a part of the NetLife and of the expressions that came from our own 'netsperience':) And that is already a good thing!:) C T > > Smiles, > Gina > > Am I going crazy? > Am I insane and dazed? > Am I too lost to face it? > And what will it cost > To escape? > KoRn > > > On Aug 6, 8:15=A0pm, bc...(a)FreeNet.Carleton.CA (Eleonore Beaudoin) > wrote: >> Gina (gina...(a)yahoo.com) writes: >> > On Aug 5, 6:53=3DA0pm, bc...(a)FreeNet.Carleton.CA (Eleonore Beaudoin) >> > wrote: >> >> The ay was very sticky humid while yet coolishwhen the sun disapeared >> >> completely, which was most of the time. >> >> But this evening, the sun ame out and the evening is just won-der-ful! >> >> It is so nice to have the doors and windows opened without the airco n= > or >> >> the dehumidifier running!!
