From: Ed Harris on 25 Aug 2007 15:26 I have a question on ANA results. Normally ANA results are reported as a titer, starting with 1:40, 1:80, etc. The titers are always a multiple of 40 since they represent dilution factors. CurrentlyI am working with a SD patient that has an ANA result that is being reported in a way that I am not familiar with. She has a result listed as 823. Her original ANA level was a normally reported result of 1:640. I am not concerned about the clinical signficance of the result - we know she has limited SD - just this alternate result value instead of a titer. I am hoping that someone here has a lab background or understands this alternate type of ANA result. In addition to posting the result, can you please email me at: eharris (-at) synnovation.com. (Trying to avoid spam spiders...) Thanks, Ed
