From overtaking Wendy on the "all-time top posters" list... 25 now. DH is
feeding the twins, DS is watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and I obviously
have nothing better to do.

So where is everybody?

I was in Chicago visiting my sister and her family for almost two
weeks, and just recently took my younger daughter back to Pennsylvania
for her second year of college. DH is at an air show with his flying
buddy, and I am dreading going back to work in 10 days or so. People
are already calling me for meetings to kick off the new year. Oh, and
older daughter is moved out into her own place, she's working (making
peanuts, but she likes the job very much, and she won't be doing this
forever) and has begun her adult life away from Mommy. *sniff*

Not much to report.

I love Chicago. Haven't been back in *ages*.

My baby is about to start his school life away from Mommy *sniff*. He just
rejected going to the grocery store with me in favor of going with daddy.
Sigh. Sometimes, for milliseconds, I miss the days when I was the only
person in the world he ever wanted to be near. Then I remember how hard
that was.

Well, it's been a busy and mostly not fun few weeks for me. Right now,
I'm planning on getting a divorce early next year. Can't see how to
avoid it.

Good news is that our son has finally decided on a direction. After
being put on academic probation for this next quarter and working
part-time at a fast food joint all summer, he's decided that he
needs to do something. So, he decided to join the Air Force. He
took his ASVAB this week (scored a 95 which makes us very proud
and opens up all the jobs to him) but got temporarily disqualified
on his physical until he gets an orthopedic consult. We're not
too worried about since the only reason he got disqualified
is that he couldn't balance well enough to do the duckwalk
(squat, hands on hips and then 'walk'). We should have that
straightened out next week or the week after at the latest.

Hope everyone is doing better than I am.

Damn. After all the time and effort you've put into it, too.

Well, that's good news!
